HOW TO TRAVEL THE WORLD USING MILES.
AN ONLINE - HANDS ON COURSE FOR BEGINNERS
WITH MAIA AKIVA
In May 2017, I was sitting in First class on an AA flight from LA to NYC that cost me just $5.60 one way and the thought hit me: it’s time to teach other people how to travel with miles!
I have been helping my friends for the past 6 years to travel almost free with miles but this felt different. It was time to get out of my comfort zone. So, before I could change my mind I posted the idea on Facebook to see if anyone even cared, and 2 months later here you are on my sale page.
Welcome! (:

"Maia’s energy and whole heartedness make you feel at home in her presence, and she also just happens to know a lot about traveling cheap! Thanks to her I was recently able to earn travel points quickly, and I’m now traveling to Vietnam for free! I also just got back from Iceland, and was able to make the whole trip happen on the cheap by applying her travel tips. This class was a life changer!" ~Grets C. Video Editor |

"Thanks to Maia Akiva's coaching, I just booked an entirely free trip to NYC during Christmas week, including flights with premium seats, a stay at a luxury Manhattan hotel, airport transportation, two private museum tours, and Broadway tickets, with some benefits left for restaurants. I used card points, airline miles, travel cash bonuses and a little flexible timing to put it all together. Maia, I appreciate your thorough and enthusiastic guidance on how to make those bonus points work, and watching you work your computer in real time during your online class was magical! My next goal is a major overseas trip, entirely for free. I am certain Maia can help me make it happen!"

WHAT IS TRAVELING WITH MILES?
Airline miles, also known as frequent flyer miles or travel points, are part of a loyalty program offered by airlines and/or credit cards. Typically, you accumulate a specified amount of miles based on how far you fly or how much you spend on your credit card. You can then use these miles to buy tickets or book hotels.
Frequent flyer miles are awesome. Use them correctly and you’ll save a ton of money on traveling.
This course will offer a hands-on class on how to start collecting and using bonus miles sign-ups for free travel, upgrades, airport lounges, hotels, cash for travel and more without needing to fly to collect those miles.
Frequent-flyer program From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
"A frequent-flyer program (FFP) is a loyalty program offered by an airline.
Many airlines have frequent-flyer programs designed to encourage airline customers enrolled in the program to accumulate points (also called miles, kilometers or segments) which may then be redeemed for air travel or other rewards. Points earned under FFPs may be based on the class of fare, distance flown on that airline or its partners, or the amount paid. There are other ways to earn points. For example, in recent years, more points have been earned by using co-branded credit and debit cards than by air travel."
There are many awesome blogs which give endless information on credit cards sign up and how to travel with miles. I follow them every week.

However, I wanted to create a more hands-on course based on my experience of traveling with miles all over the world for the past 6 years. From my experience of helping people, most of them usually have a lot of questions after they read the information and they are always looking for more specific examples and help on how they can use miles for their travel.

"Thanks to what I've learned from Maia about earning and using travel points, I've had the opportunity to travel the world this past year and a half while spending virtually nothing (except on food and souvenirs). By simply using credit cards to pay my regular bills, I've been able to get the following: a round trip to Hawaii for two (including a week of rental car and five nights at a nice hotel), a round trip for two to France via London (including a week of car rental and a one-night stay in an upscale hotel in London), a round trip to San Francisco, four round trips to Atlanta to visit my brother, and an upcoming round trip for two to the East Coast to visit family. There would be no way I would normally be able to afford all these trips out of pocket, so I am incredibly grateful to Maia for the knowledge I’ve gained from her. It truly feels like a best-kept-secret". ~Caroline P.
"Maia and I have been very good friends for many years. In January, I decided to go to a family wedding in the Caribbean. I was planning to book a room at the Marriott Resort where the wedding took place. A five-night room in the resort would have cost me around $1500-$2000. Maia asked if she can join my trip (we traveled before many times) and help me by using her points. I, of course, said yes and we ended up getting a room at the resort for five nights for $300. It was such a fun trip!"

MY STORY
Hi, my name is Maia and I am a freelance motivational speaker, facilitator and coach. For my professional bio, you can go here: http://www.maiaakiva.com/about.html
I'm just like you. Five years ago, I was introduced to traveling with miles by Chris Guillebeau (www.chrisguillebeau.com) and my life changed forever.
I always LOVED to travel but never had enough money to pay for airplane tickets and hotels. I either had to save for months or only visit places where I had a friend or a family member (and even that would be after having to wait and save for flights).
Since I started to travel with miles I have been all over the world paying very low or sometimes nothing for flights and hotels. I have flown first class (a bucket list dream of mine I thought I would never accomplish), I have had status at hotels, I have spent time in airport lounges, gotten priority boarding and priority seats on flights for free, gotten cash back on credit cards for booking hotels with cash back cards and many more amazing and fun things.
I have been helping friends and family travel with miles for a few years now and decided it is time to help more people (and make some extra cash which as a freelancer is always welcome(: ).
